It all started with a wingback chair...

Ever since I was a girl I've been sewing, learning from my mom (an expert seamstress).  I took every class offered in school.  During my senior year in highschool, the instructor said I could take on any projects I desired since my skills had surpassed the other students.  That year I made a camel wool coat, lingerie, swimwear, fabricated custom pillows, toys and even sewed apparel for my business teacher.

Speaking of business, that was my other favorite class.  The school offered a course which was set up as an actual business.  Each student had a job in the "company" and we learned to "work" each division.  From purchasing, billing, receiving, etc.  After graduation, I planned to either going to design school or get an office job since college never appealed to me. When I was offered the office manager position for a non-profit organization I jumped on it.

Fast forward...after marrying my sweetheart, raising two darling girls and continuing to sew for myself, family and friends...

My favorite wingback chair was tired and worn.  So I enrolled in an upholstery class.

During that class, I was commissioned to make a custom duvet cover, shams and pillows.

Aha! This was just the business I wanted to start.  So I set up shop, purchased industrial equipment, obtained a seller's permit and business license.  I enrolled in the Custom Home Furnishing Academy in North Carolina and became a workroom professional.

Upon returning, I hit the ground running and have been working with Interior Designers creating bespoke home fashions ever since.  It's amazing to look back along the path and see His plan all along the way!
